Leadership Development Solutions

Many organizations today are outsourcing their training departments and are looking for external training providers to manage their overall competence development needs. When it comes to leadership development, an off-the-shelf training program bought from an external provider seldom works in a way that leads to real tangible benefits. It takes an in-depth insight into the corporate values and the culture of the organization, as well as a profound understanding of the surrounding business environment to design a leadership development program that will create the desired change.

APLDI works in close partnership with each Client to identify their specific leadership development needs and to design a unique program or curriculum to fit those needs. We use a gradual approach when designing in-house leadership development programs, covering the different contexts of leadership such as individual development; managing others, team management and managing organizational change.

Management Team Workshops

If you want to create a workplace where employees are highly productive and committed, you need to start with building a strong and effective Management Team. By diagnosing the current team development stage and identifying the actions and changes in behavior that are necessary to bring the team forward, the Management Team builds a platform from which future challenges and opportunities can be dealt with more successfully. Through a set of inspiring activities that are arranged outside the normal working environment, the Management Team members get an opportunity to reflect over their way of working and to give and receive constructive feedback.

Managerial and Executive Self-Assessments

We conduct self-assessment programs tailored to the specific needs and requirements of your organization, applying an assessment for development methodology.

The “Personal Side of Leadership” – is a 4 days residential program allowing participants to focus on the parts of the leadership role that have to do with relations between people. Leadership can only be exercised in relation to those who follow. Good, effective leadership is therefore based on clear self-awareness, as well as a good understanding of how you are perceived by others. This program is held in an isolated setting, giving the participants the possibility to focus on themselves and the group. Some of the program ingredients include:


- How we perceive ourselves and others and how we are perceived by others
- The communication process
- Beliefs and values
- The process of feed-back, how we give and receive feed-back
- Self-evaluation, assessing your own leadership

Individual Coaching

We offer individual coaching sessions to enhance personal leadership.

One-to-one coaching is suitable for the individual who would benefit from a combination of individual learning and learning in a team setting. When provided prior to a program or workshop experience, individual coaching can be used to establish the relationship between the coach and the participant, and to deliver some initial assessment data and feedback. Individual coaching can also help the participant after attending a program to maintain momentum after returning to work, to follow up on personal development plans or just to discuss issues at work with someone outside the own organization.
