Our
Approach
APLDI works with
leadership and organizational development from a humanistic
perspective. We share a positive view of human beings and
we believe that all individuals can and want to learn and
develop. There is very little in the way of quick-fix thinking,
standard solutions and mechanical usage of tools and methods
at APLDI. We perceive every individual as being unique and
the starting point is always where the individual is –
here and now. One of our key strengths is to meet people in
situ, and to help leaders get their teams to act as one.
We view leadership as a relationship rather than a position.
Leadership can only be exercised in relation to those who
follow. Within leadership there are few natural laws or obvious
rules. Therefore, as a leader it is very important to understand
yourself, your own values and motives, the way in which you
are perceived by others, and the environment within which
you act. It is in this context that we may sometimes use tests,
instruments and models – to help you to structure your
own impressions and experiences in order to enhance your learning
about your own and others’ personalities, behaviour
and needs.
Here are just a few examples of international learning instruments
and tools that we are certified to conduct:
